 Unit 17-1: "Disaster Show"

(After a musical performance)

Director: What happened? That show was a disaster!

Heather: I am sorry, Mr. Lockley. I sang the last song badly.

Director: Last song!? Heather, you sang every song badly. I don't understand. You usually sing well.

Heather: Sorry, I forgot the words.

Director: You forgot the words and sang out of tune. And Bill, you usually

dance
gracefully, but today you danced clumsily!

Heather: I don't know what happened. I practiced a lot.

Director: I'll tell you what happened. In the first scene your shoe fell off. In the

second scene, you tripped on your scarf. And in the third scene you

fell in the orchestra!!
