주인A :  No, it was taken yesterday.

동엽   :  I see. Thank you, bye. (dials another phone number)
              Hello, I'm calling about the ad in the paper. Did you find a new roommate?

주인B :  No, I haven't yet, but I'm looking for a female roommate.
              Are you looking for a room for yourself?

동엽   :  Yes, but you don't want a male roommate, right?

주인B :  I'm sorry. I don't need a male roommate.

동엽   :  Okay, I understand. Bye. (dials another phone number). Hello, I read the
              ad in the paper for a studio, is it still available?

주인C :  Yes, it is.

동엽   :  Great, by the way, can I just rent it for only one month? I'm here on
              a business trip, so I need  an apartment for only one month.

주인C :  Is that so? It might be difficult, but anyway, why don't you take
              a look at the apartment, and  we can talk about it later?

동엽   :  That sounds good, how about three o'clock tomorrow?

주인C :  Three, I prefer four.

동엽   :  Four o'clock. That's fine by me, too. Then, I'll see you tomorrow.

주인C :  Wait, do you have my address? Do you think you can get here?

동엽   :  Yes, your address is in the ad, and I believe it won't be that hard
               to get there.

주인C :  If you have a hard time finding this apartment, please give me a call.

동엽   :  Sure, thank you, and see you tomorrow.

(Next day)
동엽   :  Hi, I called you yesterday about the apartment.

주인C :  Ah, yes, come on in. I was just cleaning the apartment. Would you
              like to look around? So, how do you feel? I believe this apartment is
              big enough for  one person. Electricity and utilities are all included
              in the rent. Most of all, this is a really quiet neighborhood, so you
              won't be bothered when you rest at home after work. You  even
              have a bathtub, and the bed and couch are also included. Where is
              your office?

동엽   :  It's on 33^rd street.

주인C : Then, you can take the 7 train and it would only take you 20 minutes
              to get to work. It’s a 5-minute walk to the subway station from here.
              Do you own a car?

동엽   :  No, not yet.

주인C : If you buy one later, you won't even have to worry about finding a
              parking space because this apartment comes with a free parking
              space. Remember, this city doesn't have enough parking lots, so
              it's really hard to find an apartment with one. So, what do you think?
              Do you like this place?

동엽   :  Yes, I think I like it. How much is the rent per month?

주인C :  2000 pounds. This apartment has a great view, so it's a little expensive.

동엽   :  (after a moment) Umm, I'd love to take this apartment, but I think I'd better
              see some others, too. I want to make sure I choose the right one. Is it
              okay if I call you sometime later?

주인C :  Sure. Please call me before 10 at night, though.
