제 3 강 - 보고서 쓸 때 표현하는 영어 (Situation 1)

종혁: JiYoun, the General Manager wants you to write a report about the MM project.

지연: When is it due?

종혁: Tomorrow afternoon.

지연: Oh my God, I’m really short on time. Why did he give this to me so late? It’s already 4 o’clock.

종혁: You’d better start now to finish it by tomorrow. It seems like you won’t be able to finish it until tomorrow afternoon even if you stay up all night tonight.

지연: If you help me, I can finish it earlier.

종혁: Me? I have to go home early. If you handwrite the report roughly, I can type it out tomorrow. I type faster than you.

지연: Please, if you help me out today, I’ll buy you a drink. Last time, I helped you, remember?

종혁: Okay, okay. Then, take care of the urgent things first. We need to first gather data.
지연: Why don’t you start with handwriting a rough draft?

종혁: 내일 오후라네.

지연: 어휴, 시간에 없네. 왜 지금에야 그런 말씀을 하시는 거지? 벌써 4시인데.

종혁: 시간 안에 끝내려면 지금 시작해야 할 걸? 오늘 밤을 새도 내일 오후까지는 힘들
것 같은데.

지연: 도와주시면 일찍 끝낼 수 있는데.

종혁: 내가? 나 오늘 일찍 들어가봐야 해. 하지만 손으로 대충 써 놓으면 내가 내일
타이핑은 쳐 줄 수 있어. 내가 치는 속도가 지연 씨 보다 빠르잖아.

지연: 에이, 내가 나중에 술 한 잔 사줄 테니까, 오늘 좀 도와 주세요. 지난 번에는 내가
도와 주었잖아요. 기억 나요?

종혁: 할 수 없군. 그럼 우선 급한 것부터 처리를 해야지. 자료부터 모아야겠는데.
지연: 우선 손으로 대충 쓰세요.

(두 시간 후)
지연: 우선 이 서류부터 봐 주실래요? 너무 급하게 했더니, 잘못된 부분이 많은 것
같아요

종혁: 이것만 치고 대충 훑어 볼께요. 어디 보자, 이거 너무 글씨가 엉망인데.
뭐가 뭔지 알수 가 없네.
